Breathe to Receive
"Breathe to Receive" is more than a session—it’s a gentle, lasting invitation to come home to yourself.
Breathe to Receive: A Guided Group Journey into Calm, Connection, and Inner Softening
Life rarely gives us permission to pause—but when we do, something within us begins to shift.
Breathe to Receive is a 2.5-hour, in-person group experience led by Chris and Alana, qualified Spiritus and Reiki practitioners, created for those who feel the pull to slow down, soften, and reconnect. Whether you're carrying stress, uncertainty, grief, or simply feel the need to reset, this journey offers you a rare kind of refuge—one rooted in deep presence, safety, and care.
What to expect:
We begin in community, gathered in circle, with a gentle cacao ceremony to open the heart and ground your awareness. From there, you'll be guided into a Spiritus Breathwork journey—a slow, intuitive style of breathing that helps unwind tension in both body and mind.
Unlike more intense breathwork techniques, Spiritus is soft and restorative. There's no pushing, no performance—only permission. You’re invited to feel, to release, and to return to yourself without force.
Throughout the session, we integrate:
Breath awareness to regulate your nervous system
Gentle somatic cues to reconnect with the body
Reiki-infused guidance for emotional release and energetic support
Music, stillness, and intuitive pacing that help create space for insight and healing
As you breathe, you may notice subtle or profound shifts—an emotional release, a quiet clarity, or simply the relief of feeling present again. There’s no “right” way to experience the session. Everything is welcome.
Why it’s different:
Many participants say it’s the first time in a long time they’ve felt truly safe—not just physically, but emotionally. Chris and Alana co-create a space where vulnerability is held with reverence, not rushed. Their dynamic, grounded presence provides a unique balance of strength and softness that supports deep inner work without overwhelm.
“It was like my nervous system finally had permission to exhale. The sense of calm stayed with me long after the session.”
“I released so much more than I realized I was holding. The energy in the space was unlike anything I’ve felt before—so warm, so safe.”
Whether it’s your first time with breathwork or you’re returning to deepen your practice, Breathe to Receive welcomes you exactly as you are. The session closes with time for reflection, journaling, and open sharing—so you leave not only feeling lighter and more grounded, but connected to a community of others on their own healing path.

Why don’t you share photos of the event?
Our breathwork ceremonies are sacred. What happens in the space, stays in the space. We don’t take photos during sessions because we’re not here to create content—we’re here to create safety. No cameras. No pressure. Just presence.
As one participant shared:
“The space felt so safe, so held. It was the first time in years I truly let go.”
Where is the event held?
We gather on 2.5 beautiful acres in Medowie, NSW, in a purpose-built studio designed specifically for breathwork, ceremony, and healing. The land is quiet, private, and intentionally held—allowing you to soften into the work.
What is Spiritus Breathwork?
Spiritus Breathwork is a gentle, conscious connected breath practice designed to help you reconnect with your body, release stored emotion, and regulate your nervous system. It’s grounded in trauma-informed principles and combines breath, sound, energy work, and intention.
It invites presence—not pressure.
Some people experience emotional release, others drop into deep calm or insight. Every breath is an invitation home to yourself.
What is bodywork, and is it required?
Bodywork is gentle, supportive touch offered (with consent) during your breathwork journey. It may help release tension, guide energy, or bring comfort. Think grounding a shoulder, supporting the back, or helping open the chest.
It’s completely optional. You’ll be asked beforehand and always have the right to say no.
What is energy work or Reiki?
Reiki is a form of energetic healing that helps clear and balance your energetic body. It’s subtle, intuitive, and can bring a deep sense of peace. You might feel warmth, tingling, emotion, or simply a softening.
It’s offered as part of the journey to support emotional flow and nervous system ease.
What is cacao, and why do you use it?
We open the ceremony with ceremonial cacao, a heart-opening plant medicine (non-psychoactive) that invites presence and intention. It’s warm, nourishing, and connects us to the body and each other.
Drinking it is completely optional—but many find it enhances their experience.
What should I bring?
We provide:
Yoga mats
Cushions and bolsters
Some soft blankets
You might like to bring:
A journal and pen for reflection
Water
Any extra blankets or pillows that help you feel comfortable
Layers in case your body temperature shifts
I’m new to breathwork. Is this okay for beginners?
Yes, absolutely. This experience is open to everyone—whether it's your first time or your fiftieth. We guide you gently and everything is offered at your pace.
What do people usually feel after?
After the journey, people often report feeling:
Lighter, clearer, and more grounded
Emotionally released or at peace
Reconnected to themselves and their truth
It’s also totally normal to feel tired, raw, or tender—your nervous system has done deep work. We recommend taking it slow, drinking water, and giving yourself care afterward.
As one guest reflected:
“I’ve done years of therapy, but nothing moved me like this. I left feeling clearer and more connected than I have in a long time.”
Can I attend if I’m pregnant or have a health condition?
Breathwork can activate the nervous system, so if you’re pregnant or live with medical conditions like epilepsy, cardiovascular issues, or severe mental health diagnoses, please contact us first. We’ll talk it through and make sure it’s the right fit for you.
Is there an age limit?
Yes, this event is for adults aged 18+. The emotional depth of the work can be intense, so we want to ensure it’s appropriate. If someone under 18 is interested, please reach out—we’re open to a chat about what’s best.
What support is available during and after the session?
You’ll be held with deep care by Chris and Alana, both trained in Spiritus Breathwork, trauma-informed facilitation, and Reiki. We check in before, during, and after your journey. You’ll never be left alone in the process.
There’s space afterward to journal, share (if you feel called), and land gently.
